Bad news for Russian football. UEFA has announced the continuation of the suspension for Russian clubs and national teams, extending an exclusion that has been in place since 2022.

Russian clubs will once again miss out on European competitions such as the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League. National teams will also remain sidelined from all official tournaments organized by the governing body. This situation stems from the conflict in Ukraine, which prompted FIFA and UEFA to suspend Russian teams from all international competitions.

Despite some discussions about a possible gradual return for youth teams, no measures were ultimately adopted after several European federations voiced their opposition. For the upcoming season, nothing changes: Russian football remains suspended from international competitions, pending any potential political or sporting developments in the future.
