Urie-Michel Mboula signs permanently with FC Metz
On June 19, 2025, FC Metz officially confirmed the permanent signing of Urie-Michel Mboula. The Gabonese central defender, who was loaned in February by Sanliurfaspor, has committed to a three-year deal after quickly and effectively integrating into the Lorraine squad.
Arriving on loan during the final hours of the winter transfer window from Turkey, Urie Michel Mboula quickly found his footing in Ligue 2 and steadily showcased his ability to energize Metz's attacking line. Over 13 appearances, he managed to impress and convince both the coaching staff and club management, who decided to bet on him for the long term.
“FC Metz is delighted to announce the activation of the purchase option for Michel Mboula. A young player with great potential, the Gabonese has signed a three-year contract with FC Metz and is now tied to the Grenats until June 2028,” the club announced.
