Valencia Offer Swap Deal to Real Madrid Involving Rising Star Cristhian Mosquera
As the summer transfer window heats up, Valencia CF have officially proposed swap deal to Real Madrid centered around highly rated defender Cristhian Mosquera.
The Situation: Mosquera Under Watch
Mosquera, 20 has drawn interest from Los Blancos after solid la liga campaign with Valencia, featuring in 37 match and scoring once. His contract runs until Jun 2026 but Valencia are struggling to extend it raising fears of losing him on free next year.
The Offer: Castilla Talent Plus Cash
According to Defensa Central, Valencia have submitted direct offer to Madrid:
- Cristhian Mosquera to Madrid
- In exchange, Diego Aguado the Castilla midfielder who traveled with the 1st team to the US, would move to Valencia.
- Madrid would also pay 10 million euro fee.
Who's Diego Aguado?
Aguado's considered one of the top prospects at Castilla. Though he hasn’t yet featured for the senior team, Xabi Alonso brought him into the Club World cup squad for experience. Valencia view him as long term investment.
Alonso to Make the Final Call
With Real Madrid currently focused on the Club World cup, the decision will rest with Xabi Alonso who's expected to evaluate Mosquera's potential fit in his long term plans for the 2025 - 2026 season.
Mosquera's also one of the key targets for 2026 alongside Ibrahima Konate of Liverpool.
