World Cup 2026: "We want to win every match," says Ghana coach Carlos Queiroz
The Black Stars of Ghana have arrived in Providence, Rhode Island, where they will continue the final phase of their preparations ahead of their World Cup 2026 debut.
The Ghanaian delegation left Virginia on Thursday afternoon before landing at T.F. Green International Airport around 6 p.m. The team will now fine-tune the last details of their preparation at their base camp before the competition kicks off.
Upon arrival, head coach Carlos Queiroz made his ambitions for the tournament crystal clear. The Portuguese tactician wants his team to play quality football and aim for victory in every single match.
"Our goal is to play our best football and win every match."
Confident in the potential of his squad, Queiroz also praised both the sporting and personal qualities of his players.
"I have fantastic players and exceptional human beings. Our ambition is to play good football and win every match."
The coach also delivered a message to Ghanaian supporters, promising a team determined to proudly defend the national colors on the world stage.
"I want to guarantee you that at the end of our matches, you will be proud of the Black Stars."
With an ambitious message and the squad now settled in Providence, Ghana heads into this World Cup 2026 campaign determined to leave a lasting impression and deliver a run worthy of their supporters' expectations.
