World Cup qualifiers: Algeria – Uganda: Amoura levels it for the Greens! (Video)
After more than 75 minutes of frustration and fruitless dominance, the Algerian team finally broke through against Uganda. Always a man for the big occasion, Mohamed Amoura brought the Greens back on level terms at 1-1 with a coolly converted penalty. The spot-kick was won by Ramy Bensebaini, who was set to take it after Riyad Mahrez had left the pitch, but he chose to let his teammate take the honor. That gesture of solidarity not only allowed Amoura to join Mohamed Salah at the top of the qualifiers’ scoring charts, but also kept Algeria in the hunt for a symbolic victory.
