Xabi Alonso breaks his silence after leaving Real Madrid
Dismissed by Real Madrid barely six months after his arrival, Xabi Alonso has officially spoken for the first time since his exit. In a message posted on his Instagram account, the Spanish coach struck a dignified and measured tone, steering clear of any controversy at the end of an experience he himself admits was unfinished.

“This professional chapter is coming to an end, and it didn’t go as we had hoped. Coaching Real Madrid was an honor and a responsibility,” Alonso wrote,
before expressing his gratitude to the club, the players, and above all, the fans.
“I leave with respect, gratitude, and pride for having given my best,” he added,
fully owning the end of this journey without offering excuses.
On the sporting front, Xabi Alonso leaves Madrid after 34 matches in all competitions, with a record of 24 wins, 4 draws, and 6 losses. Solid numbers, but not enough to convince the Madrid board to give him more time in an environment of relentless expectations.
