Liverpool pulled off the perfect feat by winning (0-1) at Paris Saint-Germain's home ground on Wednesday, March 5, during the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16, held at the Parc des Princes.

The match remained tightly contested until the 85th minute, a pivotal moment when Mohamed Salah left the field, replaced by Harvey Elliott. Barely on the pitch, the young Englishman showcased his talent by capitalizing on a brilliant pass from Darwin Núñez, following up with a powerful left-footed strike that deceived Gianluigi Donnarumma. This goal sealed the Reds' victory in a game otherwise dominated by PSG.

Hakimi Speaks Out After Defeat to Liverpool

Despite this frustrating defeat, Achraf Hakimi appeared determined and confident when addressing the media via the Champions League press center:

“We are disappointed, but one thing is certain: there won't be two matches like this one.”

The Moroccan full-back emphasized his team's dominance: “We controlled the game and created multiple chances, while they had only one opportunity... and they took it.”

Convinced the scenario will not repeat, he added: “We showed great character against Liverpool. We dictated the pace from start to finish. I'm convinced the return leg will be different.”

Finally, Hakimi sent a strong message to Parisian fans:
“If we play with the same intensity and level of performance, we will qualify for the next round.”

The stage is set for the return leg at Anfield, where PSG will try to turn the tables and secure their ticket to the quarter-finals.
