This Friday, July 11, the second matchday of the 2024 Women's AFCON group stage in Morocco serves up two crucial Group C clashes. The West African derby between Ghana and Mali kicks things off at 16:00 GMT, followed by the showdown between Tanzania and South Africa at 19:00 GMT.

The opening fixture sees Ghana take on Mali at the Berkane Stadium. The Black Queens find themselves in a tough spot after a 2-0 opening defeat to South Africa. Under pressure, they cannot afford any more slip-ups in this highly competitive group. Swedish coach Kim Lars Bjรถrkegren will be boosted by the return of vice-captain Jennifer Cudjoe, who was suspended for the first match. On the other side, Mali are aiming to seal an early quarter-final spot, riding high after their 1-0 victory over Tanzania on matchday one.

At 19:00 GMT, Tanzania and South Africa square off in Oujda. The Banyana Banyana, defending champions, started strong with a 2-0 win over Ghana and are pushing for another victory to secure their spot in the next round. Meanwhile, Tanzania are looking to bounce back after a rocky start.
