The second matchday of the 2024 Women's AFCON wrapped up on Friday, delivering results that have reshuffled the group hierarchy. So far, only Nigeria has booked its ticket to the quarter-finals.

After two games, Morocco and Zambia lead Group A with four points each, while Senegal remains in contention with three points. DR Congo, defeated 4-2 by the Atlas Lionesses, is now eliminated with zero points.

Group B confirms Nigeria's dominance with six points from two matches. The Super Falcons are ahead of Algeria (4 points), who still need to wait before securing qualification. Tunisia and Botswana trail behind with one and zero points respectively.

Group C is shaping up to be the most unpredictable, with South Africa and Mali deadlocked at four points apiece. Tanzania and Ghana still have a fighting chance, each holding one point. All of which promises a thrilling final matchday.
