Tunisia is gearing up to kick off its 2026 World Cup campaign against Sweden. Sabri Lamouchi is keeping his cards close to his chest regarding the ambitions of the Carthage Eagles.

Head coach Sabri Lamouchi is preparing to start the 2026 World Cup with Tunisia. When asked about the team's ambitions, the coach was quick to avoid making any promises he might not be able to keep.

"Our objective? No one has asked me to reach the semi-finals (smiles)! The Federation is already looking ahead to AFCON 2027. We have to prepare for that, but without downplaying the World Cup, where we want to put in the best performance possible in a tough group. The identity of Tunisian football is never to give up, to be tenacious, feisty, and clever, while also displaying technical quality. The little details, our determination and focus for the full ninety minutes, will make the difference," shared the coach in an interview with L'Equipe.
