Just hours after Tunisia's heavy defeat to Sweden (5-1) in their opening match of the 2026 World Cup, Sabri Lamouchi is already packing his bags.

Tunisia completely missed its start at this 2026 World Cup. Since then, tensions have been running high among the Carthage Eagles. Sabri Lamouchi's squad has been torn apart by the press.

Lamouchi won't get far with the Tunisian national team in this tournament. We can confirm that Lamouchi has indeed been dismissed. The Tunisian federation met and the manager's fate is already sealed.

Appointed as manager of the Carthage Eagles this January and under contract until 2028, the Lyon native's hopes have been dashed. His replacement is reportedly already lined up, with technical director Mondher Kebaier set to take over. Wahbi Khazri could serve as interim manager.
