Tunisia endured an extremely difficult start to the 2026 World Cup, suffering a heavy loss to Sweden (1-5) last night. Carthage Eagles defender Montassar Talbi described the setback as "a disgrace" at the final whistle.

"We're disappointed, it's a disgrace. We wanted to start the tournament on a high note. Today, it just wasn't good enough. I think Sweden deserved their win. We weren't at the required level, we lacked a lot of things: character, personality... We have to fix that. I think the fans are disappointed, and we understand that," said the Lorient player in the mixed zone.
