Tunisia suffered a dismal loss in their opening match of this 2026 World Cup. It happened last night against Sweden (5-1). Sabri Lamouchi addressed the media in a press conference.

Last night, Tunisia were swept aside by Sweden with a 5-1 scoreline. The Carthage Eagles simply crumbled in the face of Sweden's impressive attacking firepower. With this defeat, the Tunisians have already made their campaign more complicated. Sabri Lamouchi, the national team coach, was understandably a bit shaken.

"It's a tough defeat, it hurts to start the tournament with such a heavy loss. We made far too many mistakes and, against world-class players like Sweden's two strikers, you just don't get away with it," said the former Stade Rennais coach. Tunisia will have to bounce back on Sunday at 6 a.m. against Japan.
