Renowned Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that the player, born in France, donated 5 million dollars for the construction of a modern medical center in Mali. This facility will be dedicated to the well-being of children and improving healthcare for the most disadvantaged families.
Kanté's origins trace back to Mali, with his parents having immigrated to France in search of a better life. Twice, he was close to representing the Malian national team, but he ultimately chose France, with whom he has achieved success.
N'Golo Kanté: from garbage collector to global star!
The former Leicester City player has spoken in interviews about the hardships of his childhood before becoming a football star and a World Cup champion with France. He once shared:
"My parents named me N’Golo because it's the name of an ancient king in Mali, a king who started from the bottom to conquer a kingdom. I grew up in poverty and do not deny my origins or my difficult beginnings. I started from nothing, worked as a garbage collector, and today, I am a well-known player seen by everyone on television."
N'Golo Kanté is recognized as one of the most humble players in football history. He enjoys an excellent reputation among his teammates and coaches, both at club and national levels.
