The Moroccan national team will have to make do without one of its key players for the friendly against Tunisia, scheduled for this Friday, June 6, at the Grand Stade de Fès. Real Madrid attacking midfielder Ibrahim Diaz is officially ruled out due to a muscle injury.

Diaz, who started in the last La Liga match against Real Sociedad, left the pitch in the 55th minute after feeling muscle discomfort. He joined the Atlas Lions camp with this injury, from which he has yet to recover.

The team doctor, Christophe Baudot, confirmed that medical tests conducted on site revealed a muscle lesion, ruling Diaz out of Friday’s game. The player is currently being treated at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, and his potential appearance in the upcoming match against Benin remains uncertain.

In the same context, Chemsdine Talbi, defender for Club Brugge, will also be absent. He has not fully recovered from the injury sustained in early May, making him unavailable for this international window.

This clash with Tunisia is part of both teams’ preparations ahead of their upcoming official fixtures. Kick-off is set for Friday, June 6, at 8:00 PM (GMT) at the Grand Stade de Fès.
