A spectacular draw between JS Omrane and ES Tunis! (Video)
A spectacular match between Espérance Sportive de Tunis and Jeunesse Sportive d’El Omrane ended in a 2-2 draw during the 25th round of the Tunisian football championship.
Espérance continues to drop points, conceding a draw for the second consecutive time, following their previous match against Union Sportive de Ben Guerdane (1-1).
ES Tunis concedes another draw in the Tunisian championship
The first half of this intense encounter concluded with a 0-0 scoreline. In the 69th minute, Espérance was awarded a penalty, which Youcef Belaïli converted. However, despite a spectacular save by JS Omrane's goalkeeper, Montasser Essid, Belaïli was undeterred and, on the rebound, scored a stunning half-volley to open the scoring for his team.
Five minutes later, Omar Zouaghi equalized for JS Omrane. Nonetheless, in the 83rd minute, Brazilian Yan Sasse restored the lead for EST by scoring a second goal.
In the 98th minute, just when everyone thought victory was secured for Espérance, JS Omrane's player Haythem Khemissii managed to equalize again, scoring his second goal and sharing the points.
Thanks to this draw, Youcef Belaïli's teammates maintain their first place with 53 points, three points ahead of Union Sportive de Monastir (USMO). Meanwhile, JS Omrane is in 12th position with 22 points.
It is noteworthy that Egyptian referee Ahmed Ghandour officiated the match between EST and JSO at the Chedly-Zouiten stadium.
