Adon Gomis leaves FC Rouen

The curtain falls on Adon Gomis's time at FC Rouen 1899. With his contract set to expire in June 2025, the Bissau-Guinean centre-back will not continue his journey with the Normandy club, who play in the National division. The announcement was made this Saturday via the club's official Twitter account.

At 32, Adon Gomis is coming off a nightmare season. After suffering a cruciate ligament rupture at the start of the campaign, he only managed a single appearance for the Red Devils. It’s a tough blow for such an experienced player, who had hoped to contribute his discipline and solidity at the heart of the defence.

Now a free agent, Adon Gomis is set to take on a new challenge. At 32, there are surely still a few more chapters left to write in his footballing story.
