The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) appears ready to make another bold move in its strategy focused on young dual-national talents. According to an exclusive report by Fennec Football, after convincing Luca Zidane to join the Algerian national team, the FAF is now targeting Ethan Mbappé, Kylian Mbappé's younger brother.

At 18, Ethan currently plays for LOSC Lille and has Algerian roots through his mother, Fayza Lamari. The plan, as detailed by Fennec Football, is part of a long-term policy: to strengthen the national team ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 World Cup by recruiting young players eligible for Algeria before they commit elsewhere.

Preliminary contact has reportedly already been made with Fayza Lamari, as the outlet reveals, with the FAF formally waiting for the end of AFCON 2025 before making its move.
