The Saudi club Al-Qadsiah is set to soon end its partnership with Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The contract termination will be by mutual agreement and is expected to be made official in the coming days. This decision is part of the club’s strategy to sign a younger forward for the upcoming season.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the amicable split. He noted that Aubameyang will be a free agent this summer, which has already piqued the interest of several clubs across Europe and Asia.

On his official X account, Romano wrote: “Aubameyang will be a free agent this summer, and many clubs are showing interest in him.”

Having joined Al-Qadsiah in summer 2024 from Olympique de Marseille for around 9 million euros, the former captain of the Gabon Panthers, now 36, quickly made his presence felt.

Despite his short stint, he delivered an impressive season. He featured in 36 matches across all competitions, netted 21 goals and provided 3 assists, tallying 24 direct goal contributions. He also finished as the seventh top scorer in the Saudi league with 17 goals.
