Agreement in principle between Hertha Berlin and Leverkusen for Maza!
The management of Bayer Leverkusen has reached an agreement in principle with Algerian international player Ibrahim Maza, a talent from Hertha Berlin, to join their team.
According to Florian Plettenberg, a journalist from Sky Sport Germany, this Thursday, Leverkusen's management will finalize the signing of Ibrahim Maza in the coming days. The player is expected to undergo medical examinations before signing a long-term contract that will bind him to the club until the summer of 2030.
Plettenberg wrote in a tweet published on his personal account on the "X" platform:
🚨⚫️🔴 As reported in our Transfer Update show and now close to conclusion: Ibrahim #Maza will join Bayer 04 Leverkusen! ✔️
A verbal agreement had already been reached, as previously announced. Medical examinations and the signing of his contract until 2030 will take place in the coming days. Hertha will be informed today.
On the Leverkusen side, the player's variable release clause brings the transfer amount to about 12 million euros.
Ibrahim Maza joined Hertha Berlin in 2016, where he played 47 matches, scored 9 goals, and provided 7 assists to his teammates. His role on the field has been varied, as he played in several positions: playmaker, defensive midfielder, and left winger.
