Ahmed Sidibé keeps a cool head despite transfer rumors
Interview
After a rock-solid season with FC Koper in Slovenia, Ahmed Sidibé is no longer flying under the radar. The 23-year-old French-Senegalese center-back is now drawing attention from clubs in Portugal, Italy, and France.
Speaking to Foot Mercato, he remained composed in the face of the growing interest:
"Regarding the transfer window, it's a tricky period right now, because we're still battling for a European qualification spot—nothing is guaranteed yet. There's also a final on May 14. I'm trying not to get distracted, so I really want to finish the season strong. After that, I'll see what happens, but of course, it's flattering. It shows I'm doing good things out here on the pitch."
Since joining Koper in 2022, Ahmed Sidibé has taken his game to the next level. Strong in one-on-one battles and consistently performing, he has featured in 35 matches this season, contributing one goal and an assist. Under contract until May 31, 2027, he's keeping all options open—but his focus is firmly on finishing the campaign on a high note.
