AJ Auxerre: Augsburg targets Han-Noah Massengo
Han-Noah Massengo

Of Congolese descent, Han-Noah Massengo could be leaving AJ Auxerre for Germany, with Augsburg showing strong interest.

Han-Noah Massengo looks set to give his career a fresh boost this summer. Developed at Monaco and having stints at Bristol City and Burnley, he returned to AJ Auxerre this winter on a six-month loan spell.

His time in Burgundy proved successful for the midfielder of Congolese origin, as the French club was keen to keep him on their roster. Several discussions took place in recent weeks, but no significant progress was made.

On the other hand, boasting a strong reputation on the transfer market thanks to his solid experience in both the Championship and Ligue 1, Massengo has caught the eye of Bundesliga outfit Augsburg. According to Foot Mercato, Burnley and the German club have already started negotiations over a five-year deal.
