Al Ahly Bounces Back with Dramatic 3-2 Victory Over Petrojet in League Action

Al Ahly returned to winning ways with a 3-2 victory over Petrojet on Wednesday in the Egyptian Premier League title group, just days after their CAF Champions League exit to Mamelodi Sundowns.
The dramatic clash saw Slovenian substitute Nejc Gradisar score the decisive goal moments after entering the pitch.
Under interim coach Emad El Nahhas, Al Ahly started aggressively and struck early. Wessam Abou Ali opened the scoring in the 10 minute after smart assist from Emam Ashour.
The red devils doubled their lead 5 minutes later through Amr El Solia, following slick team move initiated by Achraf Bencharki’s corner and touches from Ramy Rabia and Taher Mohamed.
Petrojet Fight Back
Rashad El Metwaly pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 44 minute before Lucky Emmanuel stunned the visitors with an equalizer deep into first half injury time capitalizing on well placed cross from Hamed Hamdan amid shaky Al Ahly defending.
Gradisar Makes Instant Impact
The 2nd half saw Gradisar come off the bench and instantly deliver, heading home curling free kick from Mohamed Hany in the 62 minute to restore Al Ahly’s lead. VAR later denied 4th goal from Emam Ashour due to prior foul.
Table Update

Al Ahly climb to 43 point keeping pressure on league leaders Pyramids FC who earlier defeated Haras El Hodood 2 - 1 thanks to late winner from Fiston Mayele.
