Al Ahly SC want to sign Jose Rivero: Details!

After it was officially announced that Spanish striker Jose Rivero would be leaving Orlando Pirates at the end of the season, recent press reports have suggested that Egyptian giants Al Ahly SC are interested in signing the Spaniard to replace Swiss Marcel Koller.
After three years, the Spaniard decides to leave Orlando Pirates!
From his first season until now, the Spaniard has helped the South African club win five tournaments, three consecutive MTN8 titles and back-to-back Nedbank Cups, and his side still have a chance to win three consecutive Nedbank Cups after reaching the final this season to face Kaizer Chiefs, who are also finalists.
He also qualified from the CAF Champions League group stage without a loss and with a well-deserved lead before being knocked out of the final of this season's edition after losing to Pyramidis FC 3-2 in the second leg in Egypt.
New training opportunity for the Spaniard with an African giant
KickOff has learned that a top North African club has approached Jose Riveiro with an offer to become their next head coach. Highly placed sources indicate that Al Ahly has already initiated talks with the Spanish tactician, aiming to secure his services ahead of the upcoming season.
Riveiro’s current contract with Orlando Pirates expires in June, and it has been confirmed that he will not renew his stay with the South African side.
A source close to Al Ahly revealed that the Egyptian giants have tabled a lucrative proposal to lure Riveiro.
"Al Ahly has prepared an extremely attractive offer for Jose Riveiro. The move to Egypt next season could be very appealing for him, and there’s a strong chance the deal will materialize," the insider told KickOff.
With negotiations underway, the 48-year-old coach could soon be at the helm of one of Africa’s most prestigious clubs.
