Al Ahly wants Mohamed Chibi for the Club World Cup

Al Ahly is leaving nothing to chance. With the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup on the horizon, the Egyptian powerhouse is moving decisively to bolster its squad. At the top of their wish list: Mohamed Chibi, the experienced Pyramids FC defender.
According to Africa Soccer Zone, the Cairo-based club has submitted two separate offers to secure the services of the Moroccan international. The first is a paid loan: Al Ahly is reportedly ready to shell out $500,000 for a temporary deal to bring in the right-back. But the Red and Whites are also considering a longer-term solution. The second proposal involves a permanent transfer valued at $2.5 million—an impressive sum that underscores Al Ahly’s genuine and persistent interest in the player.
At 32, Mohamed Chibi fits the bill perfectly: defensively solid, a constant threat going forward, and boasting a wealth of experience both for club and country. His versatility and tactical discipline could be a major asset as Al Ahly look to go toe-to-toe with the world’s elite. The only question that remains is whether Pyramids FC will be willing to part with one of their key pillars.
