Saudi journalist Khaled Al-Shunayef, a former Al-Shabab player, has revealed that Al-Nassr is preparing for major changes to its foreign squad ahead of the upcoming season.

Speaking on the show Dorina Ghayr, Al-Shunayef stated that the club’s management plans to retain only three foreign players from last season: Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mané, and Mohamed Simakan.

According to him, between six and seven new foreign signings are expected to join the team during the summer transfer window, in agreement with the soon-to-be-appointed head coach, who is set to play a key role in identifying the profiles that fit the club’s sporting needs.

As for Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozović, Al-Shunayef noted that his situation remains uncertain, with no final decision yet made regarding his future.

Romano denies Al-Nassr interest in Rodrygo

On another note, well-informed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has clarified the rumors linking the Saudi club to Brazilian forward Rodrygo Goes of Real Madrid.

Through his official channels, Romano denied any negotiations between the two parties, dismissing reports of Rodrygo moving to the Saudi Pro League. He emphasized that "nothing is official at the moment."

This clarification helps temper the widespread speculation surrounding the club, which has remained in the spotlight since the high-profile signing of Cristiano Ronaldo.
