André Vidigal received his first-ever call-up to the Angolan national team on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. The Stoke player has been called up to the Palancas Negras for the 5th and 6th matchdays of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Coach Pedro Gonçalves unveiled Angola's squad list for the matches against Libya and Cape Verde scheduled for March 20 and March 25 during the international break. In this list, we discover two new faces joining the den of the Palancas Negras, including André Vidigal.

- André Filipe Cunha Vidigal was born on August 17, 1998, in Elvas, Portugal, and comes from a family deeply rooted in football.
- Vidigal began his professional career with Académica de Coimbra in 2017. He was then loaned to Fortuna Sittard in the Netherlands, where his performances led to a permanent transfer. After loan spells at APOEL Nicosia and Estoril, he signed with Marítimo in 2021.
- In July 2023, he joined Stoke City in England, where he showcases his talent for the first team in the EFL Championship and the U21 section in Premier League 2.
- André Vidigal has represented Portugal's youth teams, specifically the U18, U19, U20, and made an appearance with the U21s.
- In February 2025, he was visited by coach Pedro Gonçalves. Following their meeting, Vidigal decided to represent the Angolan national team.
