Angers: Abdoulaye Bamba extends his contract

Abdoulaye Bamba isn’t done with SCO just yet. The Ivorian right-back, whose contract was set to expire, has officially signed on for another season.

Bamba is now tied to Angers through June 2026. At 35 years old, he continues to bring a wealth of experience to the Angevins. Featuring in 23 matches this season, the Ivorian defender has proven he’s still got plenty left in the tank. Eight years after joining the club in January 2017, the Ivory Coast international remains a locker room leader and a key figure on the pitch. Such longevity is rare, and this new contract extension is a testament to the club’s enduring trust in him.
