Aubrey Modiba gives a statement on what they must do ahead of the CAF Champions League final!
Egypt's Pyramido FC are heading to South Africa for the first leg of this season's CAF Champions League final, while Mamelodi Sundowns, on the other hand, look ready to take on their Egyptian rivals.
Everyone at Mamelodi Sundowns knows the importance of getting a positive result at home against Pyramids FC, who are riding high on their good domestic form in Egypt and will be a tough opponent.
What Brazilian Aubrey Modiba had to say about facing Pyramids!
Agreeing with everyone else, the Brazilian believes that his side must be fully prepared to get a positive result at home before travelling to Cairo for the second leg on 1 June, because it will certainly be a tough game at Pyramids Stadium and they seem to have learnt that from the Orlando Pirates semi-final.
Everyone at Mamelodi Sundowns is expecting their team to be the champions of this edition for the second time in their history after the 2016 final, a nine-year absence from the title will certainly give them a lot of motivation to achieve it this time.
"We are expecting a tough game against Pyramids FC because they are a good team and they have done well home and away, We just have to apply ourselves well on the day and try to win the match in front of our home supporters. They have signed a few good players from the last team that we played against them in 2023. I think now they have gained more experience in the competition and that is explained by the fact that they are in the final. They are a team that is doing well, even in their domestic league they are competing with Al Ahly for the league title. They are a team that has evolved a lot and they are doing well.”
