Ballon d'Or 2025: Nasser al-Khelaïfi makes his choice between Hakimi and Dembélé

On Monday, September 22, the football world will discover the winner of the 2025 Ballon d'Or. In recent hours, PSG president Nasser al-Khelaïfi has named his top favorite.

After sweeping all domestic titles in France and conquering the Champions League, PSG continues its dominance in the Club World Cup. The Parisian giants knocked Bayern out in the quarterfinals this Saturday (2-0). With this ticket to the semifinals secured, Nasser al-Khelaïfi is already confident of one thing: the 2025 Ballon d'Or will go to a Paris player. But who will lift the ultimate prize—Ousmane Dembélé, Achraf Hakimi, or perhaps the Portuguese duo Vitinha and Nuno Mendes?

PSG president Nasser al-Khelaïfi has already made his preference clear. He is backing the Frenchman, Ousmane Dembélé. "If Ousmane Dembélé doesn't win the Ballon d'Or, there's a problem! Given the season he's had—a magnificent campaign—there's no doubt he should win the Ballon d'Or. If he doesn't, something's wrong. He's done it all," he declared to RMC Sport.

A key figure in the second half of the Ligue 1 season and, even more importantly, in the Champions League, Ousmane Dembélé has racked up 51 matches, 34 goals, and 15 assists across all competitions.
