Reports close to Spanish giants Barcelona have revealed that the Catalan club want to renew the contract of a player before sending him on a loan deal. Pablo Torre, the youngster who arrived from La Masia with Lamine, and other names who have earned their own place in the first team, but in the end, Torre was not lucky enough to convince Xavi Hernandez or Hans Flick to play a part in the project.

A disappointing season for the Lamasia graduate

The 2024-2025 season has not been a happy one for the 22-year-old, as according to Mundo Deportivo, a newspaper close to the club's inner circle, the player has not found himself an important part of German Flick's squad due to the intense competition for the attacking midfield position.

So a possible summer exit on loan or permanent sale is what has been trending in the Spanish media over the past few days.

According to reports, Barcelona are considering extending the player's contract to 2026, which means one more year, and then loaning him out to a new team with an option to buy, while retaining the right to benefit financially from his sale in the future.

A space of hope

The 22-year-old midfielder could be in for a new lease of life as he could be given the opportunity to showcase his technical expertise away from the pressure and with a team that is in need of reinforcements in that position.
