Bayern Munich wants to sign Nick Woltemade

Reports indicate that Bayern Munich is keen to sign the German star to bolster the team's attack. The player, who joined Newcastle from Stuttgart last summer—after Alexander Isak opted for Liverpool—managed to score eight Premier League goals during his debut season with the Magpies.

However, he subsequently failed to live up to expectations and was loaned to Juventus in Italy. Bayern Munich's interest in the player may be attributed to their search for young talent to effectively strengthen the squad for the future.

Since making the move to Juventus, Woltemade has yet to be handed a starting role, featuring only as a substitute in both of his appearances for the Italian side. Across those two outings, he has spent a mere 44 minutes on the pitch and has struggled to make an impact, managing just three attempts at goal — none of which found the target.

His temporary switch to Juve followed a brief spell with Newcastle at the beginning of the campaign, where he had made two appearances. He completed the full 90 minutes in the Carabao Cup second-round victory over West Brom, and later came off the bench to provide the assist for Yoane Wissa's goal in a 2-0 Premier League win away at Tottenham.

Despite those contributions, he was ultimately sent out on loan to Juventus on deadline day.
