Bayern's Tenfold Warning: Musiala, Coman Headline Historic Rout
Bayern Munich kicked off their FIFA Club World cup 2025 campaign in stunning style demolishing Auckland City 10 - 0 at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati. It was performance that echoed through the tournament setting benchmark from the start.
Coman & Musiala Lead Scoring Frenzy
French winger Kingsley Coman struck twice early (6, 21) while Michael Olise (20, 45) and Thomas Muller (45, 89) each grabbed brace. New signing Sacha Boey (18) and super sub Jamal Musiala added the rest with the latter completing second half hat trick (67, 73 pen, 84).
Dominance from the Start
Bayern wasted no time. After Joshua Kimmich’s pinpoint delivery was headed on by Jonathan Tah, Coman opened the scoring in the 6 minute. Boey smashed home the 2nd after another Coman assist and Olise netted the 3rd with composed finish inside the six yard box.
The Bavarians added 3 more before halftime with second from Coman, crisp volley by Muller and curling strike from Olise in added time.
Second Half - Same Story
Musiala took over after the break scoring beauty from distance, then converting penalty he earned before capitalizing on defensive blunder to complete his treble. Muller capped the demolition with trademark finish from Serge Gnabry cross in the 89.
Leveling the Record Books
According to Opta Bayern’s 10 goal matched the highest ever tally in single Club World cup game. They now share the record but with more matches to come, the German giants could rewrite history.
Coman Makes Tournament History
With his 6 minute strike, Coman also became the first ever goalscorer in the expanded 32 team format following the goalless opener between Inter Miami & Al Ahly.
Next up for Bayern in Group B are clashes with Benfica & Boca Juniors but their ruthless start has already made global statement.
