Ben Romdhane Unmoved as Al Ahly Launch New Transfer Bid"

Al Ahly SC have reportedly reopened talks to sign Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane from Hungarian side Ferencvaros aiming to land the Tunisian international during the upcoming summer 2025 transfer window.

The 26 year old midfielder was heavily linked with move to the egyptian giants during both the last summer and winter windows. However he rejected Al Ahly’s offer in Jan, opting instead to stay in europe and continue his experience in Hungary.

Al Ahly Unwilling to Give Up

Following Al Ahly’s elimination from the CAF champions league, the club’s management's looking to strengthen the squad with key additions.

Reports revealed that Al Ahly recently contacted his representatives to discuss new proposal before entering formal negotiations with Ferencvaros.

Despite Al Ahly’s persistence, the player’s stance appears unchanged. According to reports:

• Ben Romdhane remains committed to either continuing in europe, staying at Ferencvaros or possibly returning to Esperance de Tunis.
• A move to Al Ahly isn't among his current options even though leaving the Hungarian league at the end of the season remains possibility.

Ben Romdhane’s Performance in Hungary

• 2024 - 2025 season: 19 league appearances, 3 goal, 2 assist.
• 2023 - 2024 season: 23 matches, 2 goals and 5 assists.

Ben Romdhane’s previous success with Esperance including the possibility of playing in the 2025 FIFA club world cup , could tempt him back to Tunisia but for now, his priority's to stay in europe.
