Benin Cheetahs: the list of 24 to take on Morocco

After an intense week of preparation in Cotonou with an expanded squad of 30 players, Gernot Rohr unveiled on Wednesday the final list of 24 Cheetahs selected to face Morocco in a friendly match scheduled for June 9, 2025, in Fès.

Six players have therefore departed from the initial group, including Moussa Mayé Yarou, the current top scorer of the national championship. Their absence paves the way for a squad now dominated by experienced mainstays. This clash against the Atlas Lions forms part of the build-up to the upcoming qualification fixtures. It will also serve as a crucial test to assess the team’s cohesion as they search for stability.
