It's official: Blondon Meyapya will no longer wear the Red Star shirt. The 24-year-old Cameroonian centre-back is among the nine players let go by the Parisian club after securing their place in Ligue 2. It’s the end of an era for Meyapya, who featured in only 13 matches across all competitions this season.

Following Red Star’s promotion to Ligue 2, Meyapya didn’t get the playing time he had hoped for this season—due to tough competition and a few injury setbacks. Still, his potential remains undiminished. Strong in duels, commanding in the air, and with clear room for development, the 1.85m defender retains a market value estimated at €500,000.

At 24, Blondon Meyapya still has promising years ahead. This departure could mark the start of a new chapter. Several clubs in search of a young, athletic defender may well turn their attention to his profile.
