Brighton extends Abdallah Sima's contract until 2027!

In a move that underlines the club’s faith in his potential, Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion have extended Senegalese forward Abdallah Sima’s contract through to the summer of 2027. Sima, who joined the Seagulls in August 2021, was originally tied to the club until 2026. The new deal now adds an extra year to his stay.

At 23, the Senegal international made a striking impression during his loan spell at Stade Brestois in France. He featured in 40 matches across all competitions, netting 12 goals and providing two assists. His performances did not go unnoticed, especially in the Champions League, where he managed to turn heads and boost his market value.

A future in England or a fresh start elsewhere?

With his return to Brighton on the horizon, the big question remains: will Sima finally get his chance in the Premier League, or is another move abroad on the cards? According to multiple media outlets, Olympiacos, newly crowned champions of Greece, are closely monitoring his situation. The Piraeus club is reportedly considering a summer transfer window swoop to bolster their attacking options ahead of their upcoming European campaigns.

The Greek side’s interest fits into an ambitious recruitment strategy, and with Sima’s pace and eye for goal, he looks like a player who could genuinely add value.
