CAF Confederation Cup final: Kickoff for Simba-Berkane match brought forward!
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced an unexpected change regarding the second leg of the Confederation Cup final between Renaissance Sportive de Berkane and Tanzania's Simba SC.
Originally scheduled for 16:00 GMT, the match will now kick off at 14:00 GMT. In addition, the venue has been changed: instead of the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, the showdown will take place on the island of Zanzibar at the "Amaan" Stadium.
This decision has raised many questions, especially as CAF has not provided any clear explanation for the changes.
An Ivorian referee for his first final
CAF's Referees Committee has appointed Ivorian official Adou N’Goh Hermann Désiré to take charge of this decisive second leg. It will be the first time in his international career that he officiates a continental final.
beIN Sports to broadcast the match exclusively
As usual, the match will be broadcast exclusively on beIN Sports channels, holders of broadcasting rights for several African competitions.
As a reminder, Berkane took a major step toward the title with a 2-0 home victory in the first leg.
