Cameroon to face Uganda in a friendly match!
Reliable media sources have confirmed that the Cameroon national team will play a friendly against Uganda in June, as part of their preparations for upcoming challenges: the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
According to Afrik-Foot, the Indomitable Lions will face Uganda on June 6 in Marrakech.
Uganda’s head coach, Belgian Paul Put, confirmed the fixture via message: "We will play Cameroon on June 6, then Gambia on the 9th. Both matches will be held in Marrakech."
Additionally, Cameroon is expected to play a second friendly during their training camp in Morocco, though the opponent has yet to be confirmed. Teams like Chad, Burundi, or Equatorial Guinea are rumored.
Confusion over the schedule: Marc Brys caught off guard
In a surprising twist, Cameroon head coach Marc Brys appears not to have been fully briefed on the plans. He stated: "I learned that we would be taking part in a tournament in Morocco against potential national teams, but I haven't yet received any concrete details about the matches."
Since his appointment, the Belgian coach has been at the center of several controversies, notably due to ongoing tensions with the president of the Cameroonian Football Federation, Samuel Eto’o.
