Speaking after Nigeria's quarter-final victory over Algeria (0-2) last night, Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle is already turning his thoughts to Morocco.

Nigeria booked their place in the semi-finals of this CAN 2025 after their win over Algeria (0-2). The Super Eagles are now set to take on Morocco, who knocked out Cameroon. With three days to go before this showdown, Nigerian coach Éric Chelle emphasized the scale of the challenge awaiting his players against one of African football's heavyweights, who will also enjoy home advantage.

Speaking to the media, Chelle highlighted the collective strength of the Atlas Lions and the unique pressure that comes with being the host nation. "Morocco is a great team, and it’s never easy to be the host country because the pressure is enormous. But at the same time, there’s a tremendous amount of work being done behind the scenes." he stated.

Clearly impressed by Walid Regragui’s work, Chelle added: "Morocco’s coach is very good and has exceptional players. All I hope for is that we have a great match, worthy of the quality of both teams. Just try to put yourself in any manager’s shoes to understand the magnitude of the responsibility. It will be an open game, and may the best team win."
