The Moroccan under-17 team triumphed over Tanzania with a 3-0 scoreline last Sunday in the final group stage match of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations 2025, held at the Al-Bachir Stadium in Mohammedia.
Thanks to this victory, the young Atlas Lions have secured their qualification for the Under-17 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Qatar from November 3 to 27, 2025. Morocco tops Group A with 7 points, ahead of Zambia (also 7 points), Uganda (3 points), and Tanzania (0 points).

In this context, the coach of the Moroccan under-17 team, Nabil Baha, expressed his confidence after the victory, stating: "I have complete trust in my team. The result against Uganda was positive, then we faced a Zambian team which is also a good opponent. What matters to me above all is not conceding goals."
He added: "We know we will be up against tough teams in the upcoming matches. We will celebrate this victory and then start preparing for the match against South Africa tomorrow."
Thus, Morocco will face the South African team, which finished second in Group B, in the quarter-finals. The match will be held on Thursday, April 10 at 19:00 (GMT) and will be broadcast live on beIN Sports, the exclusive broadcaster of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations 2025.
