Champions League: Napoli Unveil Squad List Including Zambo Anguissa

Napoli have announced their list of 23 players registered for the 2026-2027 UEFA Champions League league phase. Cameroonian midfielder Franck Zambo Anguissa is among the players included by the Italian club.

Napoli have officially unveiled their UEFA squad list for the 2026-2027 Champions League league phase. The Italian side have registered 23 players, including Cameroon international Franck Zambo Anguissa.

The Napoli squad features several experienced players and important summer signings, including Kevin De Bruyne, who joined the club this summer, as well as Scott McTominay, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Stanislav Lobotka and David Neres.

Zambo Anguissa included

Included in the squad submitted to UEFA, Franck Zambo Anguissa will continue his European adventure with Napoli. The Cameroon international is one of the club’s midfield options for the new Champions League campaign.

The squad also includes several summer arrivals, notably French defender Benoît Badiashile, Dutch centre-back Sam Beukema and Danish striker Rasmus Højlund.

A 23-man squad

Napoli’s squad features Nikita Contini, Alex Meret and Vanja Milinković-Savić as the goalkeepers.

In defence, the club have registered Benoît Badiashile, Sam Beukema, Rafa Marín, Amir Rrahmani, Mathías Olivera and Leonardo Spinazzola.

The midfield and attacking options include David Neres, Alisson Santos, Kevin De Bruyne, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Costantino Favasuli, Billy Gilmour, Rasmus Højlund, Noa Lang, Stanislav Lobotka, Lorenzo Lucca, Scott McTominay, Matteo Politano, Antonio Vergara and Franck Zambo Anguissa.

Alessandro Buongiorno, Luca Marianucci and Giovane are notably absent from the 23-man list.

With this selection, Napoli are preparing for their European campaign in the new league-phase format featuring 36 clubs. The Italian side will face eight different opponents before discovering whether they will advance to the knockout stages.

Franck Zambo Anguissa is therefore the only player representing an African national team in Napoli’s squad.
