The African Nations Championship for local players, being jointly hosted for the first time ever by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, delivers a decisive day this Monday, August 11, as the third round of the group stage unfolds.

This historic tournament, the result of an unprecedented co-organization by three East African nations, also serves as a crucial stepping stone in the build-up to AFCON 2027.

The Mandela National Stadium in Kampala will set the stage for a high-stakes clash between Uganda and Niger. Riding the momentum of their emphatic 3-0 win over Guinea, the Ugandan "Cranes" are eyeing another strong performance to edge closer to a qualification spot, backed by a passionate home crowd. On the other side, Niger knows another setback would all but dash their hopes.

The other match of the day sees South Africa take on Guinea. The "Bafana Bafana", who were held by Algeria in their opener, are desperate for a vital win to stay in contention. Meanwhile, Guinea will be looking to bounce back from their heavy defeat against Uganda (3-0).

The Confederation of African Football has announced that all matches will be broadcast live on beIN SPORTS, Canal+, New World TV, and IMG.
