Chawat's Penalty Sends Etoile du Sahel Into Tunisian Cup Quarter-Finals

Etoile du Sahel booked their place in the Tunisian Cup quarter finals with narrow 1 - 0 win over 2nd division side JS Kairouan on
Wednesday, thanks to decisive penalty from striker Firas Chaouat.

In tight encounter, Chaouat proved the difference in the 78 minute converting from the spot to eliminate the last remaining lower tier team in the competition and seal Etoile’s progress to the next stage.

Road to the Title

Etoile du Sahel'll now host Stade Tunisien in the quarter finals scheduled for 17 or 18 May.

The Tunisian Football Federation's also confirmed:

• Semi finals will be held on 24–25 May 2025.
• The final is set for either 31 May or 1 Jun.

With the elimination of JS Kairouan, the quarter finals now feature only top tier sides raising the stakes as the race for silverware intensifies.
