African players Chemsdine Talbi and Raphael Onyedika have secured their first Belgian Cup. On Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, Club Brugge lifted their 12th Belgian Cup by defeating Anderlecht 2-1, thanks to a brace from Romeo Vermant.

Belgian champions in 2024 and Supercup finalists the same year, Chemsdine Talbi and Raphael Onyedika have now added another trophy to their collection in Club Brugge colors. The Moroccan right winger and the Nigerian midfielder played five and six matches respectively this Belgian Cup campaign, making significant contributions to the team's run. Following this triumph, the African duo's club now sets its sights on the league double, as Brugge currently sit second in the Jupiler Pro League title race.
