A grounded approach to managing pressure

Despite his relentless on-pitch persona, Haaland relies on a simple, traditional activity to disconnect from the demands of top level football.

In a video published on his X account, the forward revealed that he unwinds through physical labour in nature rather than modern distractions.

"I chop and burn wood myself, which is something my father taught me in Norway and it gives me peace of mind and mental tranquility" Haaland stated

Reaching the 300 goal milestone

The revelation followed another historic weekend for the Norwegian international. During Matchweek 3 of the Premier League, Haaland led City to a 1-0 victory over Coventry City.

He secured the win in the 26th minute, marking his third league goal of the current campaign.

More importantly, the winner represented his 300th goal in club football. His journey to the milestone began in his homeland with Molde where he scored 20 goals in 50 appearances.

He then accelerated his output with 29 goals in 27 matches for Red Bull Salzburg before firmly establishing himself among Europe's elite at Borussia Dortmund with 86 goals in 89 games.

Since arriving in England, he has recorded an astonishing 165 goals in 202 outings for Manchester City.

How Haaland compares to Football's greats

The speed at which Haaland has reached 300 club goal places him in exclusive company. According to USA Today, the 26 year old required just 384 matches to achieve the feat.

This rapid strike rate comfortably outpaces several modern icons. Kylian Mbappé needed 398 match to reach the same figure while Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Kane took 499 and 505 matches, respectively.

Among the sport's legendary goalscorers, only Lionel Messi achieved the 300 goal mark in fewer appearances, taking 365 game to reach the milestone.
