Kévin Denkey joined FC Cincinnati right at the end of the winter transfer window. Transferred from Cercle Brugge to Cincinnati, the Togolese international striker wasted no time living up to the expectations set for him. FC Cincinnati made a major statement in the transfer market by signing Kévin Denkey for over €15 million—a record fee for the franchise. After turning heads at Nîmes and then at Cercle Brugge, where he scored 66 goals in 152 matches, Denkey set his sights on a new challenge in North America.

In his very first official appearance, on February 20, 2025, the Togolese striker found the net against FC Motagua in the Concacaf Champions Cup.

Just three days later, Kevin Denkey opened his account in Major League Soccer in his very first league match. On February 23, 2025, he handed Cincinnati the win over New York Red Bulls (1-0) on MLS opening day. From that moment, the machine was up and running!
