Zamalek SC confirmed that 1st team winger Ahmed Sayed Zizo attended formal investigation session held at the club’s headquarters on Saturday following his referral to the legal committee.

Why Was Zizo Investigated?

The disciplinary action comes after Zizo missed team training for nearly 25 days starting from 9 Apr, only rejoining the squad in recent days. The absence coincided with public comments deemed harmful to the club’s image.

Zamalek’s board led by president Hussein Labib, ordered the inquiry in response to both his media remarks and his extended period of absence from training & matches.

Zizo Arrives with Lawyer Amid Controversy

The player appeared on time for the session accompanied by his lawyer Ashraf Abdel Aziz. The situation escalated when the lawyer posted smiling selfie with Zizo on Facebook, sparking outrage among fans & stirring further debate.
