Club World Cup 2025: Micky Jnr heaps praise on Iqraam Rayners

The African journalist Micky Jnr was full of praise for Iqraam Rayners, the Mamelodi Sundowns striker.

In a statement given to Foot Africa, he described Rayners as the standout African attraction on matchday one of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup group stage.

The 29-year-old forward netted the winning goal against South Korea’s Ulsan. He also won 3 out of 6 duels against Asian defenders and completed one successful dribble.

For the record, Iqraam Rayners joined Sundowns from Stellenbosch FC, and his market value is estimated at €2.4 million according to Transfermarkt.
