Club World Cup 2025: Seven starters doubtful for Real Madrid against Al Hilal!
Real Madrid is gearing up for its first match of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup on June 18, facing Saudi side Al Hilal as the tournament kicks off in the United States.
For the first time in the history of the competition, this edition will feature 32 teams and will run from June 14 to July 13.
Real Madrid without seven starters for the Club World Cup?
A major blow for Xabi Alonso, the new head coach of the Madrid side, as Real will be without seven key injured players, according to Spanish daily AS. The list includes Eduardo Camavinga, Brahim Díaz, Endrick, Rodrygo, David Alaba, Ferland Mendy, and Antonio Rüdiger, in addition to the long-term absences of Éder Militão and Dani Carvajal.
AS notes that Díaz, Rodrygo, Alaba, and Rüdiger could return in time for the tournament, but their participation will depend on their recovery and fitness levels.
Real Madrid will compete in Group H, alongside Al Hilal, Mexican club Pachuca, and Salzburg (Austria). The "Merengues" are counting on this tournament to erase the memory of their domestic setbacks.
